THE LIVED AND EMBODIED IMAGE
Heidemarie Tauber
The lived and embodied image is actually also a multisensory image. One that can be experienced with many senses, perhaps even experienced. Life, a kind of life, is captured, frozen in the embodied image. And yet you can see how it moves, you can understand and grasp what is going on. The mediation is more comprehensive, broader, deeper and therefore a little closer to the truth. It is the movement, the posture, the gesture, the relationship and the living that play the important role here. To convey these parameters, it needs to be reproduced, not just in an image, but in one that is embodied.
